Passover is really the most Zionist holiday on the Jewish calendar. God did not free the Israelite slaves just because they were slaves: God freed the slaves to bring them to the land of Israel. The Chinitz Zion Haggadah commentary, using the traditional text, transforms the Haggadah into one of the most relevant Jewish texts today. We learn the essential core of Zionism in Passover and the importance of modern Israel in the continuing history of the Jewish people.
Praise for the book
"Congratulations to Dr. Marvin Chinitz for writing a unique new Haggadah which we should all make room for on our Seder tables. His mission is to bring the Zionist dream and its current reality in Israel into our Passover discussions where it belongs."
—Joe Lieberman, former United States Senator
“Thanks to Dr. Chinitz, generations to come will learn the essential Pesach story.”
— Peter Weintraub, former National Chairman, FIDF
“Will his Haggadah reach the popular fame of the legendary Maxwell House version? Only time will tell, of course, but on its merits, it absolutely should.”
— David Harris, CEO, American Jewish Committee 1990–2022
The Chinitz Zion Haggadah will intellectually and emotionally uplift the serious student and inspire readers to protect and contribute to Israel's aspirational mission of being a light to the world.
