"The joyous experience I have gained is that, as art and life have become clearer to me, more sunshine has entered my heart from without; what a blessing to receive after hitherto dark days. Peace and conviction have entered my soul; such peace, however, can be well combined with the changing life of travel; there was a time when I felt so heavily pressed and tormented at home that being away was at least a cessation of suffering. As the foreign was thus adorned with a halo of peace, I grew fond of it, and since it is in my nature to easily connect with people who return trust and warmth, I felt well abroad and gladly went." "To Travel is to Live!"

Ravn's work is represented at the National Gallery of Denmark, the Royal Collection of Graphic Art, Trapholt Museum of Modern Art, Craft and Design, ARoS Aarhus Art Museum, the Kastrupgård Collection, Vejle Art Museum and more. He has also completed numerous decorative assignments, including the decoration of the H.C. Andersen Secretariat in Odense in preparation for the 200th anniversary celebration of the writer in 2005.
