With Architecture à emporter, designer and interior architect Marion Mailaender opens a new collection
exploring design in all its forms — from architecture to DIY and open-source practices. This first volume
celebrates the beauty of the unfinished and views construction as a creative process in motion. Using simple,
low-cost materials usually hidden from view, Mailaender creates functional light fixtures that elevate the
aesthetics of the building site. The book includes plans for four models, offered as starting points to be adapted
and reimagined — an invitation to see architecture not as fixed, but as something to carry, transform, and
reinvent.
