Arriving at his latest theatre, long-standing pantomime dame Harold Thropp finds that he's been moved to a dilapidated dressing room. As he prepares himself and begins adorning the war paint of a veteran performer, Harold reflects on the changing canvas of his life. Recounting a joyful path to the height of his career, traumatic secrets are revealed along the way. As Harold becomes this anxious this may be his final bow, he prepares for an unexpected act of retribution on his celebrity co-star. A blackly comic and often touching one man show.

Recent work includes UK Tours of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Murder Margaret and Me. His play Edith in the Dark was the first play to be commissioned by Harrogate Theatre in over 20 years. Other plays include Kiss Me Honey, Honey!, which won a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013; Keeping up with the Joans, and Twinkle, which has had productions in London, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, York Theatre Royal and The Everyman Cheltenham. Philip writing for TV includes, Emmerdale and River City whilst his radio plays include, Nine Bob Notes for BBC Radio 4.
