Pennsylvania Sports Trivia
£11.99
From home field to home ice, from racetrack to putting green, find out about the weird and interesting side of sports from a state that has always been about more than just winning: * Herman Edwards famous ''Miracle in the Meadowlands'' touchdown that preserved a six-year winning streak for the Eagles against the Giants was the only fumble recovery he had in a 10-year NFL career. * In 1955, the University of Pittsburgh's Bobby Grier was the first black player to play in the Sugar Bowl; despite receiving a ton of fan mail, the Louisiana legislature later banned blacks from playing in the Sugar Bowl. * Every current major professional sports franchise to call Pennsylvania home--Phillies, Pirates, Eagles, Steelers, Penguins, Flyers, Sixers--has won a world championship. * Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby was the youngest player to win the NHL scoring title in his second season and the youngest player in history to be named captain of his team. * And more.
