Aminah and Ali are two young siblings eagerly awaiting Eid Al-Fitr, a Muslim religious holiday that happens once a year. While embracing the last few days of the holy month of Ramadan, Aminah and Ali join their parents for prayer rituals and help decorate their home for Eid. Despite the excitement of preparing for the holiday, Aminah is frustrated. As the night winds down, Aminah asks Mama how she can make duaa in hopes of getting what she wants. Will Aminah learn how to make duaa on her own and receive the ultimate Eid gift shes been waiting for?
"Reem Alajmi holds a masters degree in sociology with a concentration in childhood and youth development. Through her education, she has acquired deep knowledge about how children are shaped by the environment and become socialized. Having grown up abroad, Reem relates to the struggles many Muslim parents experience while raising their children according to Islamic values and beliefs. Finding Islamic childrens books that represent Islam and its sacred holidays can be challenging for parents, especially when trying to find a book that keeps their children engaged and entertained. In combination with this and her passion for creative writing and childrens narratives, The Ultimate Eid Gift was born."
