The Asylum

This is a gripping tale about a mysterious asylum located out of sight of any passers-by next to a dark forest. For Zahid Zaman, a newly-graduated nursing assistant, there are too many questions to ignore -- but even his fellow staff at St Mark's Psychiatric Hospital seem keen to keep the answers hidden. Why are patients taken here from all over the country, instead of being treated locally? What makes them so terrifying? As he soon finds out, the key to this isolated asylum may lie in the supernatural and occult forces that possess it. Do you dare to enter an asylum? An environment where you are never sure what is really going on?
Zahid Zaman is a 32-year-old psychology graduate who lives in England. His passion for creativity led him to start writing from an early age, and he is a self-proclaimed fan of other horror writers such as Stephen King and Ursula Le Guin. He has completed no less than forty-six horror and science fiction stories, and has received wide recognition for his work -- for example, his story Eternity was voted to be one of the best stories of 2004 on the Aphelion website.
