Migration, Language, and Identity:
New Agendas for Ukrainian Studies in the Asia-Pacific Region. Part I
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine triggered seismic shifts in how scholars approach Ukraine’s place in the region and globally. This special issue explores new perspectives on Ukrainian Studies and East European Studies in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in Japan and Australia, through the key themes of migration, language, and identity, and with a particular focus on the relatively neglected topic of diaspora activism, interpreted in a rapidly changing global context.
