World War I has been lost, and Germany is in turmoil. In Münster—which looked completely different back then than it does today—two very different young people cross paths: Henriette, just 18 years old, wants to blaze new trails as a woman. Ludger, a few years older, finds himself with nothing after being discharged from the army. Somewhat against their will, the two set out on a manhunt. They solve a series of murders whose origins lie in the horrors of the war and which turn the young woman’s life completely upside down.
