Pam Ahuja was born in New Delhi, India in 1944. She grew up and educated in New Delhi acquiring an MA in Economics. After getting married in 1964 Pam moved to U.S.A. In the USA she worked with American Peace Corps as Language Co-ordinator for seven years and authored a Language Manual and a Cultural Training Manual. These manuals were widely used in Peace Programs for India. While in USA, Pam associated herself with Sears department store and worked there for twenty years in retail management. She was a manager to whom people looked to and gave her example for being an excellent saleswoman. Her experiences of retail helped and encouraged her to pen this book.
