This book starts from the time of conception of the baby, as the diet taken at that time has a direct impact on the developing childs tooth bud. Oral hygiene instructions and tools, like tooth floss, toothpaste and mouth rinse, and the correct technique for their use, have been made clear. Reasons for cavity formation in the teeth, its prevention and treatments, have been explained. There are other little things that can be trouble creators, such as habits like thumb sucking bottle feeding and lip biting, among others. Management of crooked teeth has been explained and a special mention has been made of congenital defects like cleft lip and palate.
